Rev. Dr. Edwards is committed to knowing God and contributing to the flourishing of God’s creation.

Growing up in New York City, Dennis attended a storefront church where he developed a desire to know and understand the Bible. That desire grew even after he earned an engineering degree and taught high school math, chemistry, and physics, eventually propelling Dennis on to seminary. Yet even after seminary, Dennis’s passion for Scripture persisted and he seized an opportunity to earn a PhD in Biblical Studies.

Ordained through the Evangelical Covenant Church, Dennis R. Edwards brings a deep understanding of spiritual leadership to North Park along with his ongoing interest in the Bible. He shares his diverse experiences as a church planter and pastor in Brooklyn, Washington D.C., and Minneapolis.

Dennis enjoys saxophone, flute, weightlifting, and once appeared on the TV game show, “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”
