University Vehicles

North Park University maintains a fleet of vehicles for campus activity use. Their use is administered by the Office of Campus Safety.

We believe our employees and students are our most important assets, and take maintaining the safety of all of our people as a serious responsibility. Please familiarize yourself with our complete fleet vehicle policy, and be specifically aware of the following items if you seek to drive a university-owned vehicle.

Driver registration

To drive a car or minivan:

  • You must have a valid driver’s license.
  • You must provide a certified copy of your motor vehicle driving record from your home state (must be obtained annually). Our insurance carrier will obtain driving records for faculty and staff.

To drive a full-size van:

  • You must have a valid driver’s license.
  • You must provide a certified copy of your motor vehicle driving record from your home state (must be obtained annually). Our insurance carrier will obtain driving records for faculty and staff.
  • You are required to pass the North Park University online driver safety test.
  • You must pass the North Park University road test.
  • First-year students are not allowed to drive a university vehicle unless they are working in a paid position on campus. Please note that not all driver applicants may be approved, or privileges for driving may be suspended or revoked, for reasons that include being identified as a high-risk driver, violating campus driver policies, and violating state and federal laws. Read the full policy brief for complete details.

Driver registration and testing is handled by the Office of Campus Safety.
